For funeral services, I play the pipes as guests arrive to the church or funeral home and again after the recessional. Occasionally I provide a hymn or song during the service, usually on the highland or border pipes. For graveside services, I play as the funeral party arrives and the casket or remains are brought to the gravesite. At the conclusion of the service I play three verses of “Amazing Grace” followed by a set of retreat marches played further away as background music. I am also available for the wedding reception itself, wherein I play at the entrance as guests arrive.
